Upcycling

United Mobility CIC will be offering volunteer and employment opportunities to people suffering with mental health conditions, particularly ex-service men and women experiencing PTSD.  In addition to this, they will be offering upskill opportunities for individuals who may have been out of the workforce for many years, and disabled people including teenagers.

They will be involved in the entire process of cleaning, repairing, refurbishing and upcycling the equipment. This will allow them to develop a wide range of professional and personal skills, as well as helping with their overall health and wellbeing.

Partnered with Rails Direct Ltd

Together they have worked on colours, textures and materials on medical aids that can help blind and partially sighted people feel to recognise their own equipment and to aid people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s see colours more clearly.

United Mobility CIC is passionate about helping people with disabilities and the elderly be safer by helping them live independently. This will give them a better quality of life, increasing their sociability and fitness whilst reducing the chance of falls which will lead to fewer hospital visits.
